Mimosa Clothing

Mimosa has been a label I have worked with and have grown to love. Mimosa has a certain type of target market and it is ladies that what to look fabulous all the time. When I walk around in my mimosa jagger skirt, I have that many people (which half the time I cant keep track of) ask me where I have got it from! Mimosa’s new collection is amazing as ever.. - Just one thing is .. I would love to meet their textile designers as they come up with the most gorgeous patterns I have ever seen.

Design A Bikini - Billabong Competition!

I entered in this competition that I saw a couple of my class mates doing in class at the end of August. It was for Billabong’s Design a Bikini! Billabong hasn’t done a competition like this before and it was perfect timing as anyone that entered put in their own textile design to the bikini template. At this time I was studying Textile Design at college so a design I had already designed went straight into a Billabong bikini template! A few weeks later, I had a call from Billabong says my design had been picked by the panel of Billabong designers! I later on got told that I was only 1 of 2 finalists for this competition. Which the prizes include:

• Flights & accommodation in Sydney for each finalist & a friend for the Design For Humanity Event*
•  VIP treatment & backstage access at the event
• Both finalists' designs will be made into one-off bikinis for the 'Bikini Showdown'

And the best part is.. The winning design will be released as a limited edition Billabong bikini, available to purchase exclusively at www.surfstitch.com, with a portion of profits going to charity!

So I have one in two chances of winning the major prize which i soooo excited about :)

Lovisa

Lovisa is the newest chain store to hit our shopping centres! With myself hanging out for the closest store to open.. when it did I was amazed at 1. Why something like this hadn't opened sooner and 2. How much money I spent in there. Since the closest store to me has opened I have bought over 10 pieces from the store and loving everyone of them. My suggestion is to get to the closest store to you and check out all the gorgeous pieces that they have to offer. Each piece is behide a different 'story' and as shown in the picture above how they all fit into each different group! Wish Designs

The Australian label Wish (which is one of my all time favourite labels) has just released their new collection 'Ride Free' into store! With their gorgeous prints and fabrications, Wish always ceases to amazes me and always leaves me wanting more. Have a look at their website and check this collection out. I already have my eye on the 'Izzie Dress' and 'Sinai Dress' which would be perfect for Spring and lead me into summer!

Igedo Online has started from 4 gold coast stores. With Nicky Powell being the designer of this website she has turned it into an amazing online store. Sourcing International and Australian brands this website, I tip to be the next big thing. If you have a time, check it out! Or pop into the stores in Broadbeach (Gold Coast).

'The Pink Dress'

Tara Whaley is the amazing creator of this pink dress. She has made it from a picture that I have picked out and altered it around my personality. This was made for my nineteenth birthday and everyone was talking about it. If you ever need any dress making done on the gold coast contact Tara Whaley through  facebook and im sure she will make exactly what you have in mind. She specialises in wedding dresses but does everything at a reasonable price.
